Download an export

You can download exports from the application to a local path. The data is downloaded as a .zip file.

To download an export:

On the Case Home page, under Manage Documents, click Exports.

Select the check box next to one or more exports, and then click Download files.

Note: To calculate the estimated size of the files before compressing them into a .zip file, in the Download files dialog box, click View uncompressed size.

If Aspera fast file transfer integration is enabled, select Use Aspera for faster data transfer. This option does not appear if integration with Aspera is not configured and enabled.

Note: If you select this option and the required plug-in is not installed on your computer, a dialog box appears with instructions and a link to the Aspera Connect download page. After installing the plug-in, you must close and re-open your browser.

To add a password to protect and encrypt your .zip file before you download it, select the Password protect the file check box and enter a password.

Note: If you add a password to the file, whomever opens the downloaded .zip file must enter the password you created.

To use compression when creating the .zip file for download, select the Compress files for download option.

Note: Using compression increases the time to prepare files for download. Disabling compression allows the download to begin sooner.

Click OK. The processing session opens and takes place in a separate browser window.

Note: For downloads performed using Aspera Connect, to show the download progress, the Aspera Transfers dialog box opens in addition to the Processing items window.

For multiple downloads, the most recent download appears at the top of the window. The number of items, the status, a progress bar, and an estimate of the completion time also appear while the downloads are in progress. The estimate refreshes as the download progresses. If a download fails, the application displays specific error messages.

Open or save each .zip file.
